We study game science and development systematically — analyzing industry trends, developing new Arab-context methodologies, and building unified standards for quality game production in the region.
View Research PillarsAlaab Space is an educational platform dedicated to growing the game development industry in the Arab world — through rigorous research, faithful localization, and structured education.
Alaab Space was founded in 2024 by Assayyaad, out of a clear gap in structured Arabic resources for game development — Arab developers had to rely almost entirely on scattered foreign content to learn the craft.
Since then, the work has grown gradually from an initial idea into a full research hub combining localization, standardization, and education, in collaboration with members and technical projects that share the same vision.
Continuing Kinmatik's mission: Rather than compete, we chose continuity: Kinmatik, the project founded by Mohammed Anwer, has been discontinued, and we're gradually migrating its articles and content into the Alaab Space wiki to carry forward the same mission that united the two projects — with Mohammed Anwer himself joining as a collaborating member. Every activity at Alaab Space maps to one of three foundational work areas.
We study game science and development systematically — analyzing industry trends, developing new Arab-context methodologies, and building unified standards for quality game production in the region.
View Research PillarsWe translate technical terms, books, and global educational content into Arabic, always accounting for local cultural context — making world-class knowledge genuinely accessible to Arab developers.
Explore Localization WorkWe build integrated educational programs covering all aspects of game development — from foundational theory to advanced techniques — grounded in our own research and translated global curricula.
See Education WorkWe do not provide direct support to developers or their games. Our role is educational and pre-development: building the knowledge foundation that the entire ecosystem depends on. Several excellent organizations already specialize in developer support — we collaborate with that ecosystem rather than duplicate it.
Publish research, translate resources, build educational curricula, set Arab industry standards.
Fund games, publish games, provide per-developer support, or act as a studio or accelerator.
Every educational recommendation is grounded in research, not opinion.
We produce content in Arabic by default. English is secondary, never primary.
Our site source is open. We partner with the ecosystem rather than compete with it.
We build frameworks that scale beyond individual projects or studios.
Alaab Space is run by a small team of collaborating members, alongside partner technical projects.
